YEAR 5'S TAKE A TRIP TO MERCY CENTRE

Last week students from Shrewsbury Riverside's Year 5 cohort visited the Mercy Centre as part of their topic on charity. The visit also reinforced the school's values of empathy and friendship as well as keep up a tradition that previous year groups have enjoyed.

Students have spent time in previous lessons designing their own card game which they will teach to the students at the Mercy Centre and then give some short classes using English Vocabulary. Some families felt it necessary to also provide donations of paper, pens and other stationery items to this worthwhile cause.

Overall, It was an extremely enjoyable experience for all children involved and we look forward to coming back in the near future.
