In August 2018 we said farewell to 14 exceptional students who had been part of the Shrewsbury community since the school opened in 2003; the first generation to have completed the entire 15-year learning journey from EY1 to Year 13 at Shrewsbury. Together they shared a carefully structured and expertly supported pathway that yielded no less than fifty-two A-Level qualifications - the international ‘gold standard’ - more than 50% of which earned the very top A* grade.
The ‘founding fourteen’ are now forging their own pathways in the world beyond; at university destinations ranging from Mahidol Ramatibodhi here in Thailand, UCL and the University of Oxford in the UK, Nagoya in Japan and toCarnegie Mellon, Cornell, Purdue and Tufts in the USA. Their choices of undergraduate courses are equally varied, spanning Medicine, Chemistry, Computer Science and Engineering, to Liberal Arts, Architecture, Film Production. Philosophy, Politics and Economics.
