The Phuket Soccer 7s tournament is one of the most competitive events in the calendar with 49 international schools from all over South East Asia taking part. Shrewsbury picked up several placings across the year levels, with the under 11 girls coming away with the trophy after a hard fought final!
There was heartbreak for both the under 13 boys and girls sides who, despite sweeping aside all-comers on the road to the final, lost the trophy match in nail biters. Regardless of the end result, both teams can be proud of what they achieved. With a lot of football left in the school year, they will have more chances to bring home some silverware.
Here are the full results from the Phuket Soccer 7s tournament:

The excellent record shown across all age groups is a real testament to our football program and the coaches working hard to gain success. The encouragement and belief in the players is evident in the way they conduct themselves both on and off the pitch. So a big thank you to Mr Radcliffe, Mr Murgatroyd, Ms Chu, Mr Jordi, Mr Jervis, Ms Coad and Mr McKernan and all the other coaches and staff.
