TERM 3 REVIEW 2018-19

PHYSICISTS RISE TO THE CHALLENGE

Congratuua8vzkinlivig51du1az_看图王.web.jpglations to three Year 12 students who did exceptionally well in the ‘2019 British Physics Olympiad AS Challenge’ set by Oxford University.

Zhao (Arina) Min, who scored 100% in the multiple choice section, gained herself a bronze award. Leoping Leaipailote, who also gained a bronze award, showed particular skill in the electrical section of the challenge.

An outstanding performance was made by Kazuki Tojo, who narrowly missed out on the gold award by one point. Kazuki matched the highest score ever made by a Shrewsbury student in this competition. Music Scholar Kazuki will be embarking on the university application process shortly, with University of Cambridge a being strong contender.

Well done to Arina, Leoping and Kazuki, as well as all of the other Shrewsbury students who took part in the Challenge; another fantastic opportunity to test and extend their knowledge beyond the core curriculum.
