Upskilling for Academic Excellence: Unifrog Implementation at Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside to Streamline the University Application Process

1710301170131078.jpgLast week, our Higher Education counsellors attended a Unifrog training session to learn more about the platform and how to utilise it to better assist students with the university application process. Unifrog is a user-friendly, universal destinations platform that empowers teachers, counsellors and students to create strong applications for higher education institutions.

Unifrog is a university and careers guidance platform and we've had the pleasure of working with Shrewsbury for the last couple of years. The platform enables students from year 7 all the way up to year 13 to explore their interests, compare every university course taught in English in the world, and then apply successfully,” Angelica Bongat, Unifrog Area Manager for Asia, said. “It empowers counsellors and teachers to manage the progression process effectively and deliver a school-wide careers curriculum. Our mission is to level the playing field so every student has access to the information they need to make the best possible choices.”

The platform provides a space to store student academic records and other important documents for easy access and organisation. Teachers, counsellors and students may all access the programme, helping to smooth the process of combing through academic materials for applications and allowing for better accessibility overall. The platform acts as a “digital locker” for storing essential student documents, making the information-gathering process for university applications more streamlined.

“Unifrog provides a one-stop shop for all things related to Higher Education and this has enabled us to easily integrate our new 4-Year Cycle into the curriculum at Shrewsbury,” Dominic Mochan, Director of Higher Education, said. “The Unifrog counsellors session was a great opportunity to see the new features of the Unifrog platform as well as getting a chance to share good practice with other schools in Thailand.”

During the session, counsellors were given hands-on experience on their own devices, as Unifrog representatives assisted them in navigating the platform and all of its features. Representatives were available to answer any questions that attendees had, helping to ensure that the platform's implementation would happen smoothly and effectively.

“It was really fantastic to have so many of our partner counsellors in Thailand in one room to learn from each other on how best to implement the platform across their schools. We're incredibly grateful to Shrewsbury for welcoming our team at Unifrog,” Angelica said.

Incorporating the Unifrog platform at Shrewsbury Bangkok, Riverside will be significant to enhancing the university applications process, and students will be introduced to it when they begin Year 10.
