IT'S A SMALL WORLD

In an ever-evolving industrial world, it is important for children to have plenty of opportunities to explore nature.

Year 2 were visited online by local plant experts, and shown how to build their own mini terrariums whilst learning all about what different ecosystems need in order to thrive. The materials that Year 2 needed were provided safely for them in advance, to allow them to enjoy all the learning opportunities of building very own living world in a jar at home.

This learning experience was part of the Year 2's 'Life on Land' topic. During this topic, the children investigate the geographical similarities and differences in the study of human and physical geography, and they learn what parts we can play in making healthy choices and taking care of our world.
