TERM 1 REVIEW 2020-21

ON TRACK

City Campus was proud to it's team of competitors at the Greater Bangkok Athletics Competition (GBAC) 2020.

16 young athletes were chosen to represent the school in this year's GBAC Athletics team, based on the excellence and commitment they had shown in their PE lessons during the term.

Accompanied by Ms Buehler, Mr Nelson and Ms Kong, our sporting students gave their very best at the competition. This event was the largest athletics competition that City Campus has attended so far.

Children showed their strength and versatility in a variety of track and field events, including running, long jump and javelin.

The event was hosted at Brighton College Bangkok, with 10 other schools competing.

The school's enthusiastic and ambitious PE department, led by Ms Buehler, has a carefully orchestrated Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) plan in place, which maps out describes the activities that our students need to be doing at specific ages and stages in their sporting journeys.

The Under 9 and Under 11 teams returned to City Campus triumphant - winning a total of 20 medals (7 gold, 5 silver and 8 bronze) across various track and field events. The U9 Team took 2nd place overall and the U11 team finished in 6th.

Congratulations to all the athletes that took part.
