TERM 1 REVIEW 2020-21

MAKING A SPLASH

A group of young swimmers have been selected to represent City Campus in the water during this academic year. This selection marks an exciting development in the school's sporting history, as it continues to focus on the strength of physical literacy and healthy competition in sport.

In the coming months, the Swim Team will continue to focus on their stroke technique in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, alongside developing their understanding of the rules of competitive swimming.

After making huge strides of progress in their diving, the children will be working towards being able to dive safely and effectively from the starting blocks. With ongoing commitment to training, the school's Swim Coaches expect swimmers to increase their swimming stamina, sprinting speed and overall performance in the pool at competition level.

The school is a proud member of the Greater Bangkok Athletics Conference (GBAC). Students are due to compete in a number of swim meets scheduled for 2021, including the Long Course event hosted by Wellington College on 5th March.

City Campus has also announced that it will be hosting the BISAC U11 Swimming Competition in the Aquatics Centre on Saturday 20th March. The school's newly established Swim Team certainly has a lot to train for, and much look forward to in the coming months.
