TERM 1 REVIEW 2020-21
LOY KRATHONG 2020
As usual, the school’s Thai Studies department arranged a wonderful array of Loy Krathong activities and performances for the City Campus community to enjoy.
One of the main purposes of the celebration is to allow students to experience and enhance their knowledge of Thai culture.
As part of the festival, the children learnt more about Thai history and the traditions associated with Loy Krathong. Students also made and decorated their own krathongs, using natural and sustainable materials to remind us all to be environmentally conscious.
The celebrations culminated in a spectacular production of drama, dance and music in the school’s auditorium.
In her Principal’s Blog, Ms Dennison shared: “Our children truly took the lead to present us with a very colourful and informative Loy Krathong celebration. We all enjoyed some wonderful singing and dancing, with hints of the tradition and the modern. The school was a sea of colours, sparkle and fun.”
