AN IMPRESSIVE INVENTOR

Congratulations to Aichi in Year 5, who reached the finals in the PTT Group 'Change the World' competition in November 2020.

The theme of the competition this year was "Innovation to Conquer COVID-19". Aichi invented the R.I.N.G. 3, a device designed to be Refillable and Innovative, in response to the New Normal whilst still being able to Go Green.

The R.I.N.G. 3 monitors your temperature, it dispenses alcohol-free hand sanitiser and it has the capability to connect COVID-19 tracking apps.

Aichi created his prototype by using the 3D printing facilities in City Campus's D&T Studio, supported by the school's Head of D&T Ms Holland. His design is made from recyclable rubber and is powered by solar energy.

At the ceremony itself, Aichi presented in both English and Thai and explained to the judges why his design was necessary and unique. He was accompanied by his Class Teacher Ms Kearns, who was also recognised for her involvement and support of Aichi's outstanding achievement.

This competition is one of the largest innovation events for children and young people in Thailand. Aichi's invention was selected from over 10,000 entries. Well done, Aichi! #CityCampusSpotlight
