CITY CAMPUS ANNOUNCES FOBISIA MEMBERSHIP

Shrewsbury International School Bangkok City Campus is delighted to announce that it has been awarded membership with the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).

During the school’s pre-membership visit, the Chief Executive Officer at FOBISIA was extremely positive about City Campus’s teaching approach, its facilities and the expertise of its teaching staff. Mr Jones MBE made particular note of the school’s unique offering to students as a primary-only setting.

FOBISIA is recognised as the premier organisation supporting British education in Asia. It’s mission is to ensure high quality British-international-style education through shared professional development, student enrichment, and mutual support between Member Schools in the region.

Member Schools enjoy opportunities at sport invitationals, music and drama festivals, mathematics and writing competitions, student leadership events and many more events.

FOBISIA also offers an extensive CPD programme, allowing teachers at City Campus to continue to take advantage of excellent training and development opportunities.

Ms Dennison is also invited to attend the annual Heads Business Meeting and Annual Leadership Conference, where key leaders from FOBISIA schools will share good practice and provide ongoing contributions to the excellence of British-international education in Asia.

Ms Amanda Dennison, Principal at City Campus, shared:

We are delighted to now be part of the FOBISIA community.  City Campus has high expectations of its students and staff.  As a reflective community, striving for excellence, we very much value this opportunity. This will provide us with many external opportunities to develop and enhance our children and our staff.  This will benefit our staff and our wider stakeholders hugely. We know we also enjoy mutual benefits; with the sharing of expertise and standards in collaboration with others. To be a member of the FOBISIA  community is a highly recognised achievement  and we are  proud to have been accepted.”

Mr Stephen Holroyd, Chief Executive Officer at Shrewsbury International Asia said:

I am thrilled that Shrewsbury City Campus is now part of the FOBISIA organisation that reaches across South Asia from India in the West to South Korea in the East.  We have been closely involved with this wonderful organisation since 2005 and, as a former member of its Executive Committee,  I know Amanda Dennison and our students and staff will enjoy the interaction with others studying in British system schools in this region. Congratulations to all involved.
