YEAR 6 COHORT ADDS TO SHREWSBURY HISTORY

City Campus parents in Year 6 gathered for a special information event, hosted by members of the senior leadership teams from both campuses at Shrewsbury Bangkok.

‘An Introduction to Riverside’ gave families an insight into the careful planning that goes into the transition process for Year 6 graduates, as they prepare to enter the rigours of senior school.

Ms Amanda Dennison, Principal at City Campus, opened the morning by sharing all that Shrewsbury is doing to invest in children, parents and staff in Year 6 at City Campus.

The Vice Principal of the Junior School at Riverside, Ms Sally Weston, went on to explain more about the academic and pastoral priorities undertaken by the schools, including busting the myths about senior school, and igniting children’s enthusiasm for the new and expanded subjects they will encounter.

The Principal at Riverside, Mr Chris Seal, closed the event by presented Shrewsbury’s ongoing strategy to offer outstanding opportunities, to invest in exceptional staff, and to lead the way in new thinking for the future.  The focus on people, by expanding the expertise of the senior leadership team at Riverside, assured families at City Campus that their children will be holistically supported throughout their education at the senior school.

Parents were then given the time to ask questions and build relationships with the Riverside leadership team. Ms Dennison summarised, “We have an absolutely wonderful first cohort of Year 6 students, truly an amazing group of young people. Although it will be very sad to see our founding children complete their journey with us at City Campus, we know they will be fully prepared for the transition and their new adventures in the Shrewsbury family."

All students who graduate in Year 6 at City Campus are guaranteed a place at Riverside from Year 7. For more information, please contact our Admissions team on 02 203 1222 or admissions-city@shrewsbury.ac.th.
