ON STAGE WITH EX CATHEDRA

Once again, Shrewsbury welcomes its friends from Ex Cathedra to reinforce the power of performing arts in education. After three days of singing workshops at City Campus, the entire school community gathered for a special Singing Celebration in the school's auditorium.

Led by Suzzie, Sally and Ruairi, all children from Early Years up to Year 6 enjoyed their own music sessions with the singing group. 

During the grand finale, the children raised the roof with some new musical pieces, and some old favourites. Not to be outdone, our fabulous parents sang their own two-part piece that they had learned.

Perhaps the greatest reaction of the afternoon came when the children's teachers took to the stage to give their performance.

Music is at the heart of a Shrewsbury education. It is fundamental for developing and nurturing the confidence and creativity in our students. Ex Cathedra’s annual visit to Shrewsbury is a true expression of the power of music in action.
