DRESSING FOR DIWALI

Diwali, a celebration of light and new beginnings, was beautifully represented this year at City Campus. The school’s community arrived in the morning dressed to impress, and the children had plenty of activities waiting for them to engage them in this widely celebrated festival. 

As always, the costumes did not disappoint! Children, parents and staff outdid themselves with their colourful interpretations of traditional dress. To learn more about the festival, children compiled their own diya decorations, they mapped out elaborate henna patterns, and they ‘floated’ their own symbols of illumination on ‘rivers’ in their classrooms.
