UNDER 9’S PUT THEIR BEST FOOT FORWARD

A win at Football Friendship Cup 2019.

The rain held off long enough to see City Campus secure a win at the Under 9’s Football Friendship Cup at Shrewsbury’s Riverside campus.

The team conceded a goal against Riverside’s D team and weren’t able to pull back, leaving the final score at 0-1. In the second match however, City Campus found some excellent form, and came away with a 1-0 victory over Riverside’s C team.

Nanont (pictured centre) was named as City Campus’s Player of the Tournament.

The PE & Aquatics department is going from strength to strength. The teaching team includes a competitive javelin thrower and an ex semi-professional English footballer. Ms Buehler, Mr Silva and Mr Nelson are fantastic advocates for sport at Shrewsbury City Campus.

Shrewsbury International School hosts extra football coaching every Saturday morning with Premier Football Academy at the Riverside campus. For more information from Premier Football, please call 095 248 1308.
