Students represent City Campus at environmental awareness day.

Members of our Eco Beasts club visited the latest Community Action Day (CAD), run by Eco Beasts Bangkok, hoping to pick up more ideas to keep sustainability as a top priority at City Campus.

The CAD event, hosted at St Andrew’s International School Bangkok, was attended by over 120 students from international schools in the city. Our Shrewsbury City Campus representatives were proud to be a part of this group of young people, who want to be inspired and empowered to bring environmental changes to our planet.

Since the Eco Beasts initiative launched in Bangkok, Shrewsbury has attended both CADs. The events allow the young people of Bangkok to unite on the global issues we are facing, and learn how we can help.

During the day’s workshops, the children made ecobricks, mixed their own compost, designed components of a sustainable village, experimented with solar panels. and picked up some valuable tips on reusing and recycling.

Ms Erica Young, Early Years Teacher and Sustainability Lead at City Campus shared, “The event was a wonderful opportunity for City Campus students to learn and to problem-solve. It was great to see our children coming up with their own ways to Refuse, Reduce, Repair, Reuse and Recycle. A fantastic and inspiring day!”
