STAFF TEAM GROWS FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

New members of the teaching team welcomed to City Campus.

As City Campus prepares to enter its third year of operation, the school welcomes a wealth of new expertise to its teaching team.

The majority of our new teachers have joined City Campus from the UK, with others coming from British international schools in Myanmar, Germany and elsewhere in Bangkok.

As well as expanding its team of class teachers, City Campus continues to strengthen its specialist subject provision, through its recruitment of additional specialist teachers in Thai, Mandarin, EAL, Music and Swimming.

The incoming cohort of teachers have taken part in a carefully planned virtual induction programme, covering topics including health & safety, child protection, classroom environments and an introduction to Thai language & culture.

After completing their required period in quarantine, our new recruits were also invited to a special afternoon tea and tour, hosted by City Campus’s senior management team.

Principal, Amanda Dennison shared, “We are delighted to welcome our new staff team to City Campus - they have been selected for their passion, their experience and expertise, and their willingness to go the extra mile. They have certainly shown this already through their commitment, reliance and patience during these challenging times. I am very excited about the year ahead. Shrewsbury City Campus is ready and raring to go!”

At Shrewsbury, teachers are carefully selected via a rigorous recruitment process. All candidates are required to hold Qualified Teacher Status, with a minimum of three years’ teaching experience and an excellent working knowledge of the British Curriculum.
