Swimmers get festive in the water.
Parents of the City Campus Swim Team lined the stands in the Aquatics Centre to watch their children compete in an in-house programme of races.
Following a term of training sessions and preparations for a competitive environments, it was the perfect opportunity for swimmers to put into practice what they had been learning.
The school's Swim Coaches reported noticeable improvements in the swimmers’ butterfly and diving start techniques. The event was one to remember, with some swimmers beating their personal best in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.
The mixed age ‘Save Santa’ relay ended the afternoon’s event. The children worked together, showcasing their speedy freestyle kick over 25m.
After all the dedication and improvements that the Swim Team has shown this term, City Campus is looking forward to next term's training programme and competition schedule in 2021.
