A VISIT TO TOYOTA BIODIVERSITY AND SUSTAINABILITY LEARNING CENTRE
Year 3 paid an educational visit to the Toyota Biodiversity and Sustainability Learning Centre in week 8 of Term 1. Here, they explored curiosities developed throughout their Topic learning 'At Risk!' and their Science lessons about plants.
The children enjoyed a nature walk through a biotope and eco forest, where tour guides explained the Toyota company's efforts to offset its factory's carbon footprint and promote biodiversity. They saw and learnt how to classify insects, even making their clay fireflies to take home!
