We Swim Together
SHC Article SHC Principle's BlogThe value we are focusing on in April is “Collaboration”. Collaboration means the action of working with someone to produce and create something — exactly like how we work together every day at our school.
A perfect example of this was our recent production of Finding Nemo Jr The Musical. Every member of our community played a part to make it a success — from the performers on stage to the staff and parents behind the scenes. It was such a wonderful reminder of the power of working together that it even inspired me to come up with a new motto for our school,
“We Swim Together. Just Keep Swimming… La La La La La!”

Every event at our school is a true testament to collaboration. They simply would not be possible without the incredible teamwork of our staff, students, and parents, who work together to organise so many activities that make our school such a special place.

It’s not just for our own community either — events like our Open House also rely on the close collaboration between our admin and academic teams to warmly welcome new families and share the magic of Shrewsbury Bangkok City Campus with them.

Even in our Early Years department, we see collaboration at its best. Our youngest learners work together, play together, and learn together every single day, helping to build a strong foundation for teamwork from the very beginning.

In Sport, when we travel for tournaments, whether we bring home trophies or not, our teams always return with something even more important — pride in their teamwork, their resilience, and the spirit they showed on and off the field.

Last week in Assembly, I shared a story about lessons we can learn from a flock of geese — another wonderful example of collaboration in action. A single goose cannot fly far on its own, but a flock of geese can travel great distances together. They support each other by sharing roles, encouraging each other with honking sounds, and making sure no one is left behind.

It’s just the same here at Shrewsbury Bangkok City Campus: without collaboration, we would not be the warm, thriving community that we are today. Students, parents, and staff — we all work together as one big team.
