A Community Of High Achievers
SHC Principle's BlogJune is a time of celebration for many international school communities worldwide; at Shrewsbury International School Bangkok City Campus, we proudly join in these celebrations.
Our value of this month is Success, which aligns perfectly with the achievements we’re recognising. Success at Shrewsbury isn’t just about reaching the highest peak; it’s about finding joy and pride in every endeavour. As Albert Schweitzer, one of the Nobel Peace Prize winners we honour as one of our Houses, said, “Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
In celebrating Success, we honour each and every one of you in our community. This month, we shine a light on special moments that radiate success within our community and beyond as we celebrate our annual Speech Day, which is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognize the achievements of our talented students in front of their peers, families and the wider community.
For our Year 2 students transitioning to Year 3, this is a momentous step from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2. We celebrate their journey and the way they have embodied Shrewsbury values such as compassion, friendship, and optimism. These values are the true markers of success.
For our Year 6 students graduating to Senior School, this transition marks a major milestone. They have grown and flourished beautifully here at City Campus, and we believe each and every one of them will continue to shine and succeed in all their future dreams.
For our wonderful parents, the Glamorous Gala Night and Charity Art Auction was a triumph. The record-breaking bidding on student art pieces raised over half a millionTHB for Safe Child Thailand. The night was one of the most successful events we have ever experienced together.
As we look forward to our 7th year in operation, our campus continues to grow successfully from strength to strength. Each year, our student enrolment increases, our Shrewsbury families extend, our staff team grows. This year our facilities include a full double expansion of our Early Years building and gardens, ensuring we can provide the finest education and facilities for our very youngest learners.
Beyond our school walls, our success extends to the wider community. This academic year, we have raised over 1,000,000 THB for our partner charities through our Community Engagement projects and events. The generosity of our community and their commitment to making a difference have made a tangible difference to many peoples lives.
On behalf of everyone at City Campus, I am proud to say that we are a community of high achievers. We cherish our own success stories, and together we flourish.
