Happiness
SHC Principle's Blog SHC TeacherHappy New Year 2026 to everyone. As we welcome the start of a new year and share our good wishes for happiness and well-being, I would like to take a moment to reflect on our Value of the Month just before we closed the year 2025.
I chose Happiness as the final value of 2025 to reflect on the deeper purpose of our lives. While happiness is often associated with personal joy and contentment, it becomes far more meaningful when it is shared. When we play a part in supporting the happiness and well-being of others, our own sense of fulfilment grows.

At the heart of this value are love and compassion. When these guide our choices and actions, they become our moral compass. With love and compassion at the centre of our lives, happiness has a way of finding us, wherever we may be.
Life is full of challenges, with inevitable ups and downs, but that is what life is all about. Remaining happy takes effort and intention. It begins with recognising our own strengths and choosing to approach life with positivity, kindness and resilience.

As we begin a new term and a new year, I would like to once again wish everyone a very happy year ahead, and happiness not only for 2026, but for all the years beyond.
