A Healthy Start to the Year
SHC Article SHC Principle's BlogAs we begin the first month of the year, we are focused on one of life’s most fundamental values—Health and Well-being.
Prioritising our physical and mental well-being is essential, as it forms the foundation for everything we do. When we take care of our bodies and minds, we build the strength, energy, and resilience needed to face any challenge with confidence.

At Shrewsbury International School Bangkok City Campus, we are committed to fostering lifelong healthy habits. We encourage children to eat a variety of nutritious “Rainbow Plates”, ensuring they get the vitamins and minerals needed for growth and vitality.
However, health is not just about what we eat—it is also about how we feel. That is why we continue to nurture our students’ happiness, confidence, and sense of belonging in a supportive, caring environment every single day.

We were delighted to welcome our Early Years families to another Come Dine With Me event, where families gathered to enjoy nutritious meals together. Sharing food with loved ones not only strengthens relationships but also reinforces the importance of mindful eating and the joy of coming together as a community.

This January has brought colder temperatures than usual to Thailand, along with high AQI levels across Bangkok. However, our comprehensive air quality policy ensures that our students remain safe while also empowering them with the knowledge and habits needed to protect their well-being in different environmental conditions.

As we also move into the Lunar New Year, we celebrate the Year of the Snake, a symbol of wisdom.
True wisdom lies in recognising the importance of health and self-care, so may this year inspire us all to make choices that nurture our bodies, minds, and spirits.
Wishing you all a prosperous, healthy, and fulfilling year ahead!
