TERM 2 REVIEW 2020-21

MFL STUDENTS PROVE TO BE LANGUAGE PERFECT

Earlier in the year students from various Modern Foreign Language (MFL) classes from Year 3 to Year 11 produced short videos, each around two minutes in length, using the theme ‘My Life’. As part of the ‘Education Perfect Video Competition’, entries from around the world were submitted and ten Shrewsbury students were successful in French, Spanish and Mandarin.

Each student could decide whether to do it as an interview, a soap opera, a song or anything that reflected their personality! The ten students who were selected by Education Perfect for Excellence Awards were said to have given great accounts of themselves, exhibiting exceptional grammar and incorporating a great narrative.

Head of  MFL, Ms Anna Pethybridge spoke very highly of the students saying, “This is a great endorsement of our student’s ability to speak their chosen MFL in a confident and creative manner. I am very pleased with their results - well done to all who participated!”
