POPS AND BANGS

On 19th June, Year 6 were enthralled by the Senior School science team, who gave them a flavour of the subjects and experiments they will experience when they move into Year 7.

The incredible experiments included using chemical reactions to make explosions, and conducting electricity through different materials - including through some Year 6 volunteers!  

We also witnessed teachers making stripy toothpaste for elephants and were taught how light and sound traveled during musical fire show by DJ Marshmello!

The current Year 7 made a really helpful video for Year 6 with tips and advice, including to enjoy all their future experiments and to revise for all their tests!

This fun event helped Year 6 understand some of the observation and questioning skills they will need next year, and they can’t wait to get started.
