TERM 3 REVIEW 2018-19

COLOURS OF SPRING: A TALE OF THREE CITIES

Four young pianists returned to school last week having just completed a whirlwind trip to some of the most prestigious performance venues in Europe.

In In (Y6), Sean (Y5), Yuqiao (Y6) and Purse (Y8), who are all students of Ms Irina, participated in a touring recital of the "Colours of Spring" series, that started with a warm up concert right here in Bangkok in the marvelous new auditorium at Shrewsbury City Campus, before flying the Czech capital, Prague.

The tour then moved on to Berlin, where the students also had a very special chance to visit the world famous Bechstein piano Factory; a legendary brand that is steeped in tradition, and favoured by many top pianists around the world. The group were also very grateful to be invited by C. Bechstein to see a Georgian Piano Concert by Luka Okros @ Konzerthaus Berlin, and proud and honoured to perform themselves in front of Mr. Dhiravat Bhumichitr, Thai Ambassador in Berlin, Mr. Suwapong Sirisorn, Thai Minister and his wife as well as the Thai people in Berlin.
