Riverside Welcomes Two Great EY Specialists
Two new teachers will call the Early Years department home for the new academic year. After an unorthodox journey from England and 14 days in state-issued quarantine, both are looking forward to starting their new roles in an official capacity.
Joining us from St Peter's Church of England School, Bristol is Ms Bronwen Baynes (pictured left) who will be a class teacher in EY2. Ms Baynes took on many responsibilities in her previous role as Nursery Lead teacher from planning and assessment, to organising trips and even driving the school’s minivan! A lover of creative arts such as pottery and stained glass, Ms Baynes is sure to bring a wealth of great ideas to her classroom for her student to get involved with.
Ms Baynes is also very passionate about involving herself in charity events, recently taking part in the ‘Yorkshire Three Peaks’ and the London Vitality 10k.
Over in EY1, we welcome Ms Danielle Owen. No stranger to life at an international school, Ms Owen's previous school was in Dubai. A firm believer of ‘In the Moment’ planning, children in her class can expect to learn through exploration, having fun and discovery.
Not one to stay in place for too long, Ms Owen enjoys an active lifestyle – partaking in everything from canoeing to badminton. A firm believer that an active body is as important as an active mind, we look forward to her classes being high-energy affairs!
We are pleased to be able to add these two new wonderful teachers to our excellent staff this year. Along with the brand new EY garden, completed over the school holidays, both teachers will make fantastic role models for the youngest students at our school.
