Sixth Form Scholars 2024/25 Announced

Our Spotlight Outstanding Opportunities Riverside Sixth form SHR Article

Another year of demonstrable success as we award 12 students with Sir Martin Rees Scholarships, 44 students with Honorary Academic Scholarships and 17 students with Sir David Lees Scholarships.

Our Sir Martin Rees Scholarship is one of our most prestigious academic awards and is named after an alumnus of Shrewsbury School, former president of The Royal Society, Astronomer Royal and Master of Trinity College Cambridge and acknowledges the outstanding achievements of students at IGCSE level. This award is received by students who are currently in Year 12 who achieved at least 11A* for their IGCSE examinations.

Students who were awarded Honorary Academic Scholarships are also those currently studying in Year 12 who received 7-10A* for their IGCSE examinations.

We also awarded students who demonstrated exceptional performance in their A Level studies, attaining 4A*’s in their final examinations. This award is recognised in our Khunying Sumanee Memorial Hall and students can use the title of Sir David Lees Scholar in all future correspondence with colleges, universities and employers. 

These outstanding achievements are commended by the school, and we look forward to seeing what our scholars do next.
