Introducing the Prefects for the 2024/2025 Academic Year at Shrewsbury International School Bangkok, Riverside

The Student Parliament consists of seven dynamic ministries, each focussing on essential aspects of school life:

• Community Engagement
• Diversity & Inclusion
• Sports
• Performing Arts
• Well-being
• Oracy
• Learning Environment

Our prefects will drive initiatives that promote school spirit, inclusivity, and student well-being, all while developing their leadership skills as ministers. Their primary goal is to foster positive changes that will benefit the entire student body; some examples from last year include the House Charity Fair that brought together the entire school community for an afternoon of fun and contributing to worthy causes such as Operation Smile.

We are also excited to introduce our lead house captains from each house as part of the prefect team. These leaders, together with the Year 12 House Captains, will play a vital role in orchestrating House events throughout the year, strengthening teamwork and community spirit within the school.

The prefect programme at Shrewsbury Riverside goes beyond just student leadership. It’s a reflection of our commitment to holistic education, providing students with the opportunity to grow personally, develop leadership skills, and contribute to the betterment of their community. Through these roles, students are well-prepared for their future educational journeys and equipped to face real-world challenges.
