Alumni article Exceptional People Our Spotlight SHR Article
Shrewsbury International School Bangkok proudly celebrates the journey of Myra Molly (Maneepat Myra Molloy, Class of 2015) an alumna whose voice, talent, and resilience have captured audiences from Bangkok to Broadway.
From the moment she stepped onto the stage in our school auditorium, Myra exuded a spark that would later ignite international acclaim. A star student deeply immersed in the arts, she left an indelible impression on our community. Whether leading musical performances or representing the school in cultural showcases, her talent shone brightly from a young age.

A Voice That Found Its Way Early
At just 13, Myra captured the nation’s attention with a voice far beyond her years, winning the first season of Thailand’s Got Talent. Her ability to move seamlessly between classical and contemporary styles set her apart and sparked renewed interest in crossover music across the country. Not long after, she brought Disney’s Moana to life for Thai audiences, her performance leaving a lasting impression on a new generation of fans.

Performing Across Borders
Following her graduation from Shrewsbury in 2015, Myra continued to hone her craft at Berklee College of Music, where she deepened her understanding of both performance and storytelling. In the years that followed, she took on one of musical theatre’s most emotionally demanding roles, Kim in Miss Saigon, joining the U.S. national tour as an alternate from 2017 to 2018. It was a part that required not just vocal precision, but raw emotional truth, something she delivered night after night on stages across the country.

From Opera to Broadway
Myra’s creative path has never followed just one direction. In 2021, she dipped into the world of film with a supporting role in He’s All That on Netflix, her first step into Hollywood. Fast forward to 2025, and she’s preparing to take on something of a starring role on Broadway. Cast in Eurydice at Hadestown, she isn’t just joining a production but she’s breaking new ground as the first Thai actress to lead a Broadway show.

A Legacy in Progress
Myra’s body of work tells a story as rich and varied as her voice. She’s recorded everything from sweeping classical pieces to original songs and musical theatre tracks. Whether performing in the Bangkok Opera’s Ayodhya or voicing Moana in the Thai-language sequel, her sound carries a sense of place and purpose rooted in culture, yet open to the world.
“I am proud to be a Shrewsbury alumna. My journey started on that school stage, and I hope to inspire the next generation of performers to dream big and believe in your potential.”
