“For me, Shrewsbury is a second home. From learning from life experiences and developing valuable skills to discovering my own passion, Shrewsbury has encouraged and taught me to be myself in every step of my school and professional career. The many stages I have been on, like the Balloon Debate and the Fairbairn Exhibition during Junior School, made me discover what I love to do — which has led me to study, and do it at a high standard. The reasons I found my passion and fortitude, I owe to this school.
My favourite thing about the school would be the amount and variety of opportunities Shrewsbury has for its students. I found myself using these opportunities, from studying after school with teachers to performing or hosting several school events — two very different things, yet Shrewsbury supports them equally, which allowed me to be fairly great at both. You really just have to grab the opportunities they present to become better at anything. Also, despite my tight schedule these past years, Shrewsbury teachers have been so flexible with me and my schedule. Offering study sessions to catch up with any missed content and even helping me form a strong schedule to support me through my A-Levels. It is the amount of care and understanding that is also my favourite thing about studying here.”
