“Studying at Shrewsbury has allowed me to realise that change is one of the greatest gifts in life. Every year, I have come to school and learned about new perspectives and new ways to grow. In this school, I have been given massive opportunities to be a part of many sub-communities, which also shaped me as an individual. I think being a member and captain of many sports teams has allowed me to realise my full potential and encouraged me to keep going, even when things got hard. Being House Captain in Year 12 also allowed me to connect with many others within the school. Ultimately, being a student in Shrewsbury, I have been allowed the space to learn and grow in many unique ways.
When I think of Shrewsbury, I do not think of the facilities or the subjects, rather, I think of the people here. The communities that I have belonged to and built relationships in have massively helped improve my experience in this school, as I have been surrounded by many strong sources of support throughout my time here. From Early Years 1 when my teachers supported me in learning English to Year 13 when my friends and teachers helped me through my university applications, the constant support I have had is one of the most valuable takeaways of my Shrewsbury experience.”
