Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside Hosts U11 FOBISIA Football Championship
article Our Spotlight SHR ArticleShrewsbury International School Bangkok Riverside had the honour of hosting the U11 FOBISIA Football Championship, welcoming young footballers from nine international schools across Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan.
Over two days, students demonstrated outstanding determination, teamwork and sportsmanship as they competed in a series of matches. Participating schools included Shrewsbury International School Bangkok City Campus, Aster International School Bangkok, Amnuay Silpa School, Rugby School Thailand, HELP International School, Singapore International School of Bangkok, Wellington College International School Bangkok, The Alice Smith School and Taipei European School.
Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside teams delivered an impressive performance throughout the tournament. Our players dominated the group stages before raising their level even further during the playoff rounds. A standout moment came when our Girls’ Gold team secured an outstanding second-place finish.
Beyond the competition, the event created a welcoming atmosphere on campus. The opening day concluded with a BBQ dinner where students and families came together to celebrate the day’s matches.
Finals Day brought exciting matches and memorable moments as teams competed for the championship titles. Hosting the event was a wonderful opportunity for Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside to bring together young athletes and celebrate the values of sport within the FOBISIA community.
