STEAM Logo Design Competition – Junior School

article Our Spotlight SHR Article

We were incredibly impressed by the enthusiasm, creativity and talent shown in the STEAM Logo Design Competition. The competition invited students to design an original logo that could be used to represent future STEAM and Design Thinking events, including competitions, the Science Fair and the Inventors Fair.

The response from students was outstanding, with around 60 entries submitted from across the Prep School. Each design demonstrated a huge amount of thought, imagination, and attention to detail. Students explored a wide range of ideas and interpretations of the STEAM acronym, creatively representing elements of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics through symbols, colour, typography and layout.

The judging process was extremely difficult due to the high quality of the entries. Students showed excellent originality and creativity, while also considering how their logos could work practically across different formats and events. It was wonderful to see such a diverse range of designs, with many students producing professional-looking logos that were both eye-catching and meaningful.

A huge congratulations goes to our runners-up, Preme and Aing, whose designs stood out for their creativity, clarity, and strong connection to the values of STEAM.

We are delighted to announce that the winner of the STEAM Logo Design Competition was Prime. His logo impressed the judges with its originality, thoughtful symbolism and strong visual impact. The winning logo perfectly represents the creativity, energy and character of our Junior School students through its unique design and personality.

As part of the final stage of the competition, Prime worked alongside K. Aim from the Marketing Team to digitalise the design. Throughout the process, he showed excellent communication clearly explaining how he wanted the logo to look and carefully refining ideas through multiple iterations before reaching the final result. This collaborative process gave Prime a valuable insight into how professional designers develop and improve designs before publication.

Thank you to every student who entered the competition. The standard was exceptionally high, and students should be very proud of the creativity, innovation, and effort shown throughout the competition.
