At Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside, we recognise that children express their ideas, theories and understanding in many different ways.

Through play, movement, creativity, storytelling, construction, music, imagination and inquiry, children make sense of the world around them. These are the hundred languages of childhood: the many ways children express ideas, build understanding and connect with others.

Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and the concept of the Hundred Languages of Children, we see children as capable and resourceful learners, encouraged to explore their interests, develop their own theories and engage deeply with the world around them. 

Thoughtfully designed environments, open-ended materials and meaningful relationships create the conditions for learning to flourish. Guided by the Reggio Emilia principle of the environment as the third teacher, our spaces invite children to investigate, collaborate, revisit ideas and make their thinking visible.

The Early Years are the beginning of a 15-year journey at Shrewsbury Bangkok Riverside. Here, children develop the confidence to express themselves, the curiosity to explore new ideas and the resilience to embrace challenges. What begins as childhood wonder becomes the foundation for confident learners, creative thinkers and future leaders.
