HQP offers a balanced approach to bilingual learning by integrating Chinese and British educational approaches. This bilingual pathway’s curriculum is designed to develop fluency in both English and Mandarin, foster bicultural understanding, and ignite a passion for learning through play-based, language immersion, and project-based methodologies.
Language Immersion: This bilingual pathway employs a 50/50 English and Mandarin language immersion model in the Early Years. From Year 1 onwards, it features native-speaking teachers for both English and Mandarin, along with a specialist Chinese Maths teacher. This approach ensures that students have ample opportunities to develop their language skills in authentic environments.
Cultural Integration: HQP also incorporates Chinese culture into the curriculum through various activities like traditional festivals and Chinese cultural heritage classes, including martial arts, calligraphy, and painting.
