SPA Committee

The current SPA Committee is elected by the parent body at the Annual General Meeting held in June each year. The committee list can be viewed below or on the SPA Notice Board in the Morris Forum.

School's Open door Policy

The School has an open door policy and staff are very happy to talk with and listen to parents. For Junior School matters your initial contact point should be the class teacher and for Senior School issues please talk to subject or form teachers in the first instance.

The Principal and his Senior Management Team are eminently accessible; however, for formal discussions, please make an appointment.

Class Parents

Shrewsbury has a Class Parent structure to enhance communication between parents and teachers and amongst other parents in the class.

A Class Parent may be called upon to organize or help the teacher with class outings, parties or special events for the class. Teachers will reach out for a willing Class Parent within the first three weeks of term. Should you have the time and interest for this position, please let the teacher know. SPA works closely with Class Parents to keep parents updated on SPA activities and issues.

Where a selected Class Parent is Thai, we suggest she enlists the help of an international parent from the class (and vice versa for international parents), to make communication clear to all.

Parent Volunteers

Parent Volunteers are very much welcomed by SPA. Volunteering provides a chance for you to contribute to and be involved with the school.

Joining SPA activities is also a great way to make new friends and have some fun while gaining some organizational skills. It also provides us the chance to do something for a good cause in the case of charity events. So, come forward, we need you! Just contact any SPA Committee member or send us an email. You may also leave your contact information and area of interest in the SPA Mailbox in the Reception.
