Booster Club
The Booster Club at Shrewsbury International School was initiated by members of SPA during the 2008-09 academic year. It is run by a group of parent volunteers whose main goal is to encourage and “boost” school spirit by supporting sport, music and arts activities, with an emphasis on school sports events.
Parents, students, and alumni are encouraged to show their school spirit by:
•Attending sport competitions and cultural events at SHB
•Attending Booster Club Meetings
•Volunteering to help with Booster Club activities
•Being involved in the organisation and volunteering at the Booster Club “shop”
•Supporting Shrewsbury’s FOBISSEA Teams
•Supporting Junior and Senior School Sports Days
•Supporting annual charity events such as the Swim-a-thon and Fun Run
The Booster Club raises funds to support our students by selling casual clothing and inexpensive gear such as t-shirts, caps, visors, wristbands and wallets - all with the easily identifiable Shrewsbury Storm logos on them. These items are currently sold between 2:00 and 3:00 at the Booster Shop which will have its home soon next to the Sports Activities Office near the swimming pool.
By supporting the Booster Club, parents are contributing to the enhancement of the already fantastic opportunities Shrewsbury International School students have.
