I enjoy the challenges that sport throws at you. When you achieve something, whether it is a new skill in gymnastics or a new personal best in sprints, the feeling of achievement is very rewarding. Being a member of Team Shrewsbury makes me proud because it shows that my achievements in sports have been recognised. Hopefully, I can inspire some younger students to develop their sporting ability.

I love playing sport because it brings balance to my life. Over the years it has built in me a resilience and determination to succeed and keep on improving. Sport challenges me and pushes me to overcome my own fears. Listening to music on the bus and communicating with teammates adds in a social component to sport, that really builds up greater team spirit.

Being part of Team Shrewsbury means so much to me. My Father is extremely proud of me for achieving something as highly recommendable as this. Team Shrewsbury will help me to strive for better performances in my chosen sports and the staff at Shrewsbury International School will be there to support and guide me.

I love sport because it gives me the opportunity to test myself. Furthermore, it relieves my stress! I get to make friends and talk to people who I don’t usually talk to. I enjoy participating in team sports because I find it extremely rewarding to play in a team. When we win, we win together and that is what makes team sports very special and enjoyable.

I enjoy playing sports because I can challenge myself and work towards my goals. In my opinion, sport is not all about winning and getting lots of medals but the most important thing is to create a positive team spirit within our team. This is what will eventually lead to long term success in sport. When competing, I feel nervous, however i try to turn this into positive energy to help me achieve my potential in sport. Sport allows me to improve physically and mentally. I am very honoured to be a member of Team Shrewsbury and it is a unique opportunity to develop my skills.
